Terry Gold will be speaking at the annual ISC West physical security conference in Las Vegas on April 18th, 2018.
The Session, “The Future of Physical Security: The Decade Ahead” will draw from his recent research in working closely with some of the largest end user organizations to understand their assets, goals, operations and practices while working on new methodologies that can more effectively facilitate improved outcomes. The body of research will be released publicly through 2018 and this session will provide some highlights from the ongoing research. Gold says “I think attendees will be pretty surprised as it won’t cover any of the “same old stuff they hear from vendors and integrator. It turns everything on its head. Its new, far more effective, and can be proven in a validation model – something traditional approached struggle with. I’d say we’re breaking new ground”.
This session will outline how the practice of physical security will most significantly change over the next decade. As opposed to previous decades where the industry demonstrated advancements and set the course for technology options for their channels, the next decade ahead will be defined by end users driven to deliver value to their respective organizations and keep pace with their IT related counterparts. The findings shared in this session are derived from research that includes analysis of physical security programs from some of the world’s leading global organizations. Learn about what is driving organizations to repudiate the current offerings and practices of the security industry and how their vision transforms their programs to be more effective, efficient, and improve overall outcomes.
