Who We Are
D6 Research is a neutral research and advisory firm focused on the intersect of physical and cyber security. We produce in-depth strategic research reports, vendor market scopes, methodology, best practice, project tools, and education that empower clients to gain clarity around approach, risk, and likely outcome before committing to complex initiatives and large budgets.
Prior to founding D6 Research, we had collectively performed consulting and strategy engagements to over 100 of the Fortune 1000. We’ve been there, many times, and learned what not to do, so you don’t make those mistakes for the first time.
What We Do
Vendors and integrators are focused on engineering, delivering and selling. Instead, we at D6 Research are primarily focused on research. We’re researching all the ways the market is moving ahead, but also where they’re leaving customers behind. Our research focuses on what should be possible for end users, and exhaustively investigate ways to define, measure, and obtain it. We cover technology strategy, but also have proprietary tools that measure all the details of your options from every penny, to every potential improvement, and return on investment – before you do it. From high level executive bullets to deep metadata analysis. We’re for real.

FAQ
Company (1)
First and most importantly, we are not a consulting firm. We are an analyst firm, and perform consulting to complement our research to benefit our clients in refining their understanding, adapting it to their unique circumstance, and applying what we learn back into our research and methodology and contribute to the community. It is mutually beneficial as it avoids cooking things up in a vacuum. Further, it is not our aim to bill lots of hours, but rather the opposite by giving clients the knowledge and tools to tackle initiatives themselves and decide where they need specialization on a limited basis to fill the gaps.
